Jaden: A Mags-Written Parody

A Mags Written Parody that just steals everything from everyone, based on the original Song 'Jaded' by Aerosmith, with the original dead sexy character 'Jaden' written, created and otherwise very well maintained by Spidey. Original story to base Jaden on, Labyrinth, maintained and otherwise owned by Jim Henson films and Lucas films. Members of the forever fictional band 'Happy Boxes' are owned by Ruko and Varu. Yes I stole them too, the only original thought in this entire songfic being Mags (batcavemonkey@aol.com)

Any relationship, likenesses and other such connections between the members of 'Happy Boxes' and real people, being dead or alive, is a total coincidence and should only be considered as such... With the exception of the two people that the members and the name are actually based on. No happy boxes were harmed in the making of this songfic... or at least that is what Jaden claims. Don't ask me, I'm just the writer.

(The place: the empty auditorium of the 'The Cranky Cherub', a theatre that Ruko works at and local hangout place of Ruko, Varu and Mags, three members of a self made cover and parody band, 'The Happy Boxes.' The Time: About 11 pm)

(on the stage Mags quietly stands making sure that her lead guitar is hooked up correctly while Ruko plays a bit on her drums and Varu stands looking cute with her bass guitar, reading the lyrics to the song parody. Above them there are three spotlights, one above each girl.)

Varu: ...Alright Mags, quick question. Who is this Jaden guy anyway?

Ruko: Ooooooh, sounds like Mags found someone to pine over!

Mags: (sticks her tongue out at Ruko) If only. He's just a fictional character...

Varu and Ruko: From the Labyrinth.

Mags: (smiles) how did you know? You know I'm amazed that you two haven't checked it out yet. You two usually find the good smut out there before I do.

Ruko: Hey! We aren't ALWAYS perverted...

(Mags gives Ruko a 'yeah right' look and Ruko just chuckles.)

Mags: Alright, let's get this going. If we play this well enough I wanna make a recording of it and send it off to Spidey.

(both Ruko and Varu snap out of the cute mode and they start to play the opening to 'Jaded' by Aerosmith. Mags is singing lead vocals.)

(unbeknownst to the three on the stage a fourth presence quietly enters the back stage door, sporting a head of gorgeous blond hair, icy blue eyes and a killer white smile that hold two glittering fangs in them, dressed in a pair of leather pants and a tight black t-shirt. ...if you don't know who this is then you just haven't read 'Brotherly Love' yet or any other Jaden stuff. What the fuck are you doing here?! This song makes no sense to you! Go read the story and then we'll talk.)

(silently the spotlight over Ruko goes out. The sound of the drum first goes off beat bit and then just stops. Because Mags and Varu are standing in front of where Ruko had formerly been and because they are into the song they don't realize this sudden oddness and just continue to play on.)

(the light over Varu goes out. The sound of the bass guitar slows down, goes a bit off and then finally stops. Because Mags is so into the song by this time she doesn't realize that Varu and Ruko, along with her musical accompaniment are gone.)

(at this point there is supposed to be the others singing the name 'Jaden'... but there is nothing. Mags looks over at where Varu is supposed to be... there is only darkness is there. Varu is obviously gone.)

Jaden

(she looks over for Ruko but Ruko's light is also out. Ruko is obviously gone as well.)

Yeah, you're Jaden!

(she turns back forward, feeling the panic begin to rise when she comes face to face with the blond figure of beauty and death. He smiles like a wolf looking at it's pray and Mags' hands drop from her guitar. The light above her goes out and the last words of the song are whispered more in fear than anything.)

And Jaden, I'm afraid of you.

(a small male chuckle forms in the darkness, echoing through the empty auditorium.)

Voice: As very well you should be.
